I could be cute and say I made this because I am now a mother, but the truth is that I had already started sewing it months ago and had just forgotten about it! I had only sewn a couple of seams, but a start is a start... and somehow I had managed to lose 2 pieces in the process.  What a pain - I had to clean up part of my sewing room (after months of neglect) to find the right fabric.  The red is much nicer than the photo implies.
