Where's Noah?

This one's a raffle quilt made to raise funds to improve the children's area at my husband's church. It was my idea to go with the "Noah's Ark" theme - the raffle is being drawn at the Blessing of the Animals service in October.... not sure if that's a coincidence or not!! LOL....
this uses a pre-printed panel surrounded by 4" blocks. Lots of animals. (Good thing I have a great stash for supplies!!). Took me longer to cut the centre panel to the exact right size than anything else! (Well, it felt that way, anyway).

Apparently this quilt helped to raise over $800 for the church kids' safe play area - yay!

The panel is QTD (Quilted To Death). My first real attempt at nutso quilting and I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I even quilted a cameo of Noah in (see close-ups below).... hence the title! My original plan was to have "people" as one of the border animals, as there were people on the Ark.... but the only fabric I had of people depicts quilters!! Not sure how the message that Noah saved all the animals and all the quilters would go down *grin*.
