(Yet another) I Spy Quilt

Dimensions: 44" x 56"

Completed: July 2005

This quilt is for Daniel, who was born on September 6, 2005. His mum and I go WAY back!
It uses some of my I Spy stash (those that know me know I have a few to choose from!!) and a mottled black.

Because I made his sister a quilt upon her birth, I wanted the 2 to be a part of a set. They both use the same black fabric, both
meander quilted in the black only. Both have the same number of 6" blocks, and no fabric is repeated. The quilts should be able to
butt up against each other and be used for big games of "I Spy".
I am told there may be another child later on, so I had better come up with another quilt design (and buy more fabrics!!).

Any smaller than this and you can't see all the great fabrics!!

See the sister quilt here.

I needed to Road Test the quilt, so used the sample babies I had lying around the house.
(Ben, 2 1/2 years and Cam, 2 1/2 months in these pics!)

Here's a picture with the Real Owner, and my Cam. Daniel is 3 days old in this picture, Cam is 3 months old.
A bit of difference! Daniel is not a small bubby either - not too far off 10 pounds at birth!
We were somewhat amused by the matching outfits.

Here's the label and backing:

(Good old "It's your quilt" poem again)

And his ball (Hand sewn whilst trying to breastfeed my baby!):
