This one was made in a HUGE rush! Our next door
neighbours had us look after their cats while they were in Fiji - not a problem
for us at all.... but when they got back they gave us presents! I was given a
whole stack of Fijian fabric for my quilting. *grin*.... anyway, I had to make
something for their wedding (but had forgotten when it was - a chance encounter
led to "I can't believe the wedding is next weekend" and I had very little time
to sew! Got it done in time though!!!!) The moral of the story is to never give me a nice present, as I'll cut it up and give it back!!! (I do have some leftovers though.) A simple layout to showcase the fabrics (and save time!), quilting is just a diagonal through the squares - nothing else would show up on the busy fabrics anyway. The long borders had to be pieced to get the full length.... I'm VERY proud of my invisible joins. |

The funky (rayon *shudder*) sarong
I used for the backing.... And the label.... The happy couple the day after the
Big Event....
