Feathered Heart Wallhanging

This quilt is for Chloe and Kelvin, to mark their wedding day. Chloe is my hubby Andrew's cousin.
I used one of Elly's feathered heart patterns, but used 2 colours just like I have in my Baltimore quilt, but in more muted colours.
Chloe is a bit of an art deco fan, so I am hoping this will not clash with her new house too much. I used a Jinny Beyer border print (technically offcuts from my Baltimore sashing!! Shhhh.... don't tell...) and decided to use her soft-edge piecing to get the motifs mirroring perfectly in the corners and it worked!

This is hand appliqued (needle turned) and machine quilted with a 1-inch diagonal grid with feathered motifs in the corners. Plan A was to quilt their initials, but I couldn't come up with a balanced design using a "C" and a "K".
Really, people should think about such things when they choose their soul mates!!!!

And here's the bride - I know lots of people like to sticky-beak at weddings :-)
