"Love Is" Wallhanging

This quilt was made for my husband to mark our 5th wedding anniversary in December. He took me out to a fancy hotel with fancy lunch AND fancy dinner. He also bought me a diamond ring and some stunning diamond earrings, so I guess we're even!
 I used a pattern by Kitty Pippin and just love the results.
It's all hand appliquéd and machine quilted.

The character means "love" and was used as the theme for all of our (my!!) wedding stationery, which I designed.

My mother prefers the back of the quilt to the front (typical...):

And the label... I had a lot of trouble coming up for a name  - most ideas made me nauseous. Same goes for the message... without resorting to poetry stolen from some literary legend, everything just sounded way too cheesy. So I kept it simple.
