BJ's TLC ABC Quilt

I designed this quilt when Ben was about 6 months old. I played around with different layouts and ideas, and eventually settled on this one. It's an educational quilt with some activities built in - you know that kind of thing - flaps to lift, ribbons to tie, zips to play with...

Each letter has a picture of at least one item starting with that letter, as well as being surrounded by a colour that begins with that letter (some of them are a little creative, only one resorts to another language!)

It's echo quilted around the letters and pictures and the rest is pretty much background cross-hatching. The sashings have verigated thread meandering across them. I also attached some multi-coloured mini baubles when  I added the binding. Unfortunately, I added the binding before I quilted the free motion feathers in the border, so had some issues with bauble interference!!
